OUR CASE (Digi & Demo):
At the 2025 federal elections, 21% of 18-24 year olds voted for
the AfD, a now confirmed extreme right-wing party
(Fürstenau, 2025 )
antidemocratic disinformation strategies by the AfD reach
young people effectively (BMBFSFJ, 2024 )

The problem
Young people have the problem of being easily influenced by disinformation when using social media. Our solution should deliver a platform which prevents disinformation and presents a wide range of perspectives on political topics.
The cause of this problem are echo chambers, bubbles, disinformation posts, and Hate speech.
Our goal is to reduce misinformation and biases on political topics.
Our Solution (ideas):
You have a page to catch up on opinions of politicians (short videos, tweets) and news from newspapers (collected under headline from different sources).
You can browser and select categories of special interest to you. You have to watch a story with opinions from all sides. After watching a certain amount you are able to join a comment section (for that topic).
The username is generated by us to prevent dog whistles. Users have to verify themselves.
Target group:
Younger People (age 18-24) – People who don’t have the time to catch up on politics
- subject one, the doom scroller.

2. subject two, the party mouse

The prototype:
So, we’ve decided to make an app similar to TikTok with short videos of politicians and newspapers with AI summaries. Only verified users, such as parties, politicians, newspapers and journalist are allowed to post. Users are allowed to comment of they verify their account by phone number, and has watched 10 videos from each party. There is also a meter that shows what parties you are aligned with.
