The Case
Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) needs a new modern way to gather butterfly data. UFZ wants an app that counts butterflies by talking to the phones microphone. The app needs to listen to user input and recognize when a butterfly is said.
Target Group
The target Group is people who currently keep track and count butterflies using pen and paper. Most of these people are older so we want to make sure they can easily navigate the app and count butterflies with it. To make this happen the ui needs to be easily understandable and clear.

Our Solution
Our solution is to create an app that’s easily usable and faster than pen and paper. Our app recognizes the users speech and converts it into a sentence that is given to an ai to count the butterflies.
