The problem
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a large toll on world; the changes in our social life, work and economy are affecting everyone, either directly or through the ripple effect. In an attempt to stop the uncontrolled spread of the virus, many establishments had to be temporarily closed which has lead to a catastrophic slump in revenue across several economic sectors. Sales in Germany’s gastronomic sector have taken a plunge of 45,5% in comparison to the previous year, with a disastrous 17.6% to 34.6% drop in employment in the short span of 4 months. After a brief period of consistently low case numbers during which the gastronomy was able to operate under stringent restrictions, such as limited customer numbers, shortened opening hours and customer contact lists, businesses are once again forced to close their establishments due to once again soaring Covid-19 cases.
Our mission
Customer
To assure that our customers are safe, we securely and privately store data, to automatically alert a customer if their health is in danger. Furthermore customers can see a business’s capacity, which can help them find alternatives to their preferred establishment if they want to avoid a crowded store or long queues.
Business owner
Our simple yet effective solution relieves the business owners of some responsibility (verify data and track number of customers). With this they have an easier time operating their business, without risking being shut down in the process.
